Explorer Scouting is
provided by the Phoenix Explorer Scout Unit, which
started as a joint venture for Kingsmills and Crown
Explorer Units. Phoenix is now fully independent of
the two Scout Groups and operates a highly
successful, action packed varied programme with over
20 members, meeting at both the Crown and Kingsmills
Headquarters.
The colours for the Unit are taken from the colours
of the former Inverness Thistle Football Club, which
played its home games at Kingsmills Park (now a
residential complex) which was situated very close
to the 2 founding scout groups of the Unit.
