The Cub Pack
The Cub Scout Pack caters for those aged eight to ten and a half years of age. Cub Scouting is where the adventure really starts for a child… camps, outings, badges, awards… you name it…Cub Scouting has it!
Under the Leadership team of Akela, Baloo, Bagheera and Kaa., weekly Pack Meetings offer the Cub Scouts a whole range of inspiring activities they will not find anywhere else. To help run the Pack Meetings, we have a Young Leader called Matt.
The Cub Scout Leaders team’s aim is that every child will leave the Pack Meeting having learnt something new through “fun” activity… they may even have made something special to take home with them.
Weekly Pack meetings can range from making wind chimes, learning about the sky at night, playing games indoors and out to visits from the Highland Society for the Blind allowing the Cubs to learn more about life for the visually impaired.
Our Cub Scouts go on occasional outings and go on camps – for many young children the adventure camping can offer is unparalleled and all Cubs are encouraged to take part in all the activities we offer.
In 2006 the Cubs spent the weekend at Killearnan – what did they do? One of our Cubs wrote an article to tell the story of the camp.
Sixes
Current Sixes
With five sixes and 30 Cubs, we regret that under normal circumstances we can only take new recruits who enter directly from Kingsmills Beaver Colony.
